Pinehurst, North Carolina
Turn Back Time at the Home of American Golf
Most renowned is the venerable Pinehurst No. 2 course that was recently renovated to more closely match its original Donald Ross design for the 2014 back-to-back Men’s and Women’s U.S. Open Championships.
Throughout the towns of Southern Pines, Aberdeen, Foxfire, Carthage, Pinehurst, and Seven Lakes you’ll find dozens of courses to challenge your game without challenging your wallet. Accommodations range from brand name hotels and motels, to B&B;’s, to full service resorts. Beyond the fairways you’ll find great dining from casual southern fare to gourmet dining. The boutiques and quaint shops make for an enjoyable diversion when not golfing.
But again, the GOLF! Golf Digest continually includes area courses as top rated. The NC Golf Panel rates local courses regularly in its top ten out of 500+ in North Carolina. But you can weigh in with fellow golfers over a beverage at one of the local watering holes and decide your favorites!
